Your cover is important to your book's success. Good design guides and motivates sales. An effective title, striking graphics, and interesting colors all contribute to an attractive cover.

Morris Publishing® offers professional design service and many options to help you create an eye-catching cover. Cover designs can be in one-, multiple-, or full-color and can include photos, line drawings, paintings, or other artwork. All covers are printed on sturdy cover stock and include FREE UV coating for a protective finish. To add even more durability, plastic lamination may be used for an extra charge.

Children's hardcover pricing includes FREE full-color front and back cover printing and linen-finish plastic lamination. (Full-color stock covers are not available.)

We offer a variety of full-color stock covers you may use. If you prefer a custom cover but need help, our professional design team offers cover design assistance.

You can also create your own cover or work with your own designer to submit a custom cover. Send it press-ready using our specifications from Submitting a Press-Ready Cover (PDF 598kb). Use a FREE Full-color Stock Cover

Cover Printing Charges

A FREE cover starts with white cover stock and is printed with black and one in-house ink. If you want to use two in-house inks (neither is black), three in-house inks, full-color printing, special order PMS, metallic gold, metallic silver, or foil stamping, there will be additional charges. (Note: Children's hardcover pricing includes FREE full-color front and back cover printing.)

Custom Back Covers

The back cover is an important part of your book. It serves as a mini-billboard, encouraging sales. Consider including the book's description, benefits, reviews, testimonials, author information and photo, and technical features such as ISBN, bar code, and price. The back cover will be printed in the same ink colors as selected for the front cover at no extra charge. However, if you use any additional ink colors (not on the front cover), additional charges will apply. The back cover can be printed in full-color if the front cover is also printed in full-color.
